Boy Am I Excited!

I can't wait until we get to go to Brown! I'm already getting things ready and the thought of being there gives me goosebumps. I have never been this far away from home alone before. Hopefully I will make new friends and learn new things when I get down there, so I can bring everything I learned back down to California. Yesterday I bought a laptop for the trip just so I would be able to keep up with my blogging and such. I'm very glad that the ILC gave me this wonderful opportunity and I'm very grateful. Sorry for the late post, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer! -Zack Taylor

Brown, here I come!

I am all smiles. To think that I will be back at Brown in less than four days bring back sweet memories of last summer. I cannot help but smile and feel grateful for this opportunity. Like always, I cannot fully express how grateful I am to everyone who continues to support and make the ILC prosper. The least I can do is blog. In less than four days, I will turn back to a daily blogger!

Sadly, I haven't started packing yet. Although it is summer, I still have a lot to do before I leave to the east coast. It haven't really hit me that we will be leaving this Saturday, but once I start packing, I will start freaking out! But it's okay. I love Brown. I love Rhode Island. I love thinking that I am days away from another great summer at Brown.

Just a few more days....

Just thinking about the trip to Rhode Island brings a smile to my face. I am so exited to be in the east coast for the second time in my life, but this time it will for more than a week. I cant wait to see what my class will be like, if I am going to make any friends in my class since I am the only one from Richmond High taking that class. I wonder if Introduction to Bio-medical Science will be as hard as it sounds or am I going to understand the subject. But most of all I wonder how Harvard, MIT, Wellesley and the two important dinners will be like. Am I going to do a good job in researching Mr. Sydney Frank an Ms. Ruth Simmons? So much to think about I can bearly sleep at night just thinking about the trip.

With all the activities that Mr. Ramsey and Ms. Kronenberg have planned for us I am sure that the trip to Rhode Island will be a blast!

I cant wait till Saturday!

I'll Be Frank

It still hasn't hit me yet.

Even with 4 days till we zoom off to Providence, I haven't felt a continuous rush of excitement. It more commonly comes in short bursts. A random realization that I'll be on the east coast here, an itching to look into what kind of stuff there is to do in Rhode Island there. It could be because I haven't taken out any suitcases yet, or it could be because I'm still busy with matters at home. In any case, I'm looking forward to taking a class on macroeconomics, visiting colleges and places, and meeting new people.

However - It hasn't hit me yet.

But time always flies by.
